Implementing new innovation pedagogy at TUDARCo
The Tanzania Five Year Development Plan (FYDP II) 2016-2021 with a theme “Nurturing Industrialization for Economic Transformation and Human Development” calls for competent skilled graduates from Higher Learning Institutions (HLI) capable of solving community need. IRIS project makes this ambitious national dream a reality by introducing innovation pedagogy where learning become student centered and more practical oriented. Tumaini University Dar Es Salaam College has embraced the Innovation pedagogy and its elements are currently being implemented.

Innovation Pedagogy brings teachers and students close together. James, Getrude and Julius (Teachers) sharing experience with students on information sources and serves which was the first piloted course.
There we are – students showing their final mini-project presentation through Skype with Mr. Markku Rajala. They did a market analysis, gathered and analyzed information. They finally came up with a local chill paper with different flavors including mango flavor, tamarind flavor and “mbilimbi” (A local plant).
